The Volunteer Center of Cedar Valley, in partnership with the University of Northern Iowa's Office of Community Engagement, is hosting the Spring Volunteer Fair. Unfortunately, we don't feel like this event can be in-person due to COVID-19. However, we have provided a way for students to browse and connect with community organizations!
Find Volunteer Opportunities
How it works
The UNI Volunteer Fair will happen online using Get Connected. Get Connected is a one-stop volunteer engagement platform and the perfect place to find volunteer opportunities!
Students seeking volunteer opportunities can browse volunteer opportunities from community organizations and nonprofits. The volunteer opportunities promoted will be one-time, long-term, and skills-based opportunities. Some volunteer opportunities are onsite and others are remote opportunities.
Connect & Serve
When you find a volunteer opportunity you are interested in, click "Respond". The volunteer coordinator for your opportunity will contact you directly with more details to get your started.
If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one. With your Get Connected volunteer profile, you can connect with any volunteer opportunity posted on our site, track your hours served, become a “fan” of an agency and more!
Registration for Nonprofit Organizations
To help us effectively promote your opportunity, we ask that you provide as much detailed information as possible. Examples of robust and informative volunteer position descriptions are below this section. The registration process is simple.
- Complete the Volunteer Opportunity Information Form (this form is different than our usual form, so make sure to fill out this form to ensure your opportunity will be included in the fair).
- Please complete a separate form for each opportunity.
- You will receive a confirmation email with the position information displayed as it would be on Get Connected. If there are any corrections needing to be made, please email us with those.
